Scobell was traveling west on Interstate 10 when she suddenly crashed into a truck. She had just gone over the Hawkins overpass when both vehicles moved onto the right shoulder of the highway, obstructing traffic. A third car hit Scobell’s jeep from behind and then hit a fourth vehicle. Like many terrible accidents, it all happened in seconds. Scobell died at the scene.
